Hi Folks
Ive started work on a new series on my YouTube channel... Ive put a hell of a lot of work into it and would appreciate a bit of help from the community with a thumbs up or even a comment on the video over on YouTube if you think it deserves it so that it might pick up a little traction with the YT algorithm.
Ive fallen down a rabbit hole in the archives into the Eastern Front (I think this is a bit underrepresented in WW2 military history) and have started my own little series. A new video will be out every week or two. Cheers for the support.

Good stuff @fgmbootie—really enjoyed this one. Nice change of pace seeing a line infantry division get the spotlight instead of the usual panzer-heavy focus. It gives a better feel for how Barbarossa actually unfolded on the ground, with infantry doing the hard yards to secure and expand those early breakthroughs.
The pacing and narration worked well too—kept it engaging without overdoing it. Definitely sets the tone for a strong series. I’ll be following along 👍
Left you a like and comment on YouTube as well—well deserved.

Cool - will check it out tout suite.
One of the most horrible features of war is that all the war-propaganda, all the screaming and lies and hatred, comes invariably from people who are not fighting.

Using recorded film footage really adds to the story telling and gets you immersed in the story!
Yeah so most of the German infantry images are actual shots of the 291st from the Gundlach collection and the video is the early stages of Op Barbarossa in the Baltics. And of course the war diaries are the official war diaries I have in my collection...
Excellent stuff!! Top quality -- looking forward to the next instalment!

Thanks Rico.
Well done! I enjoyed how you followed the German 291st Division through the start of the Russian campaign. Your graphics were well done and greatly complemented the video. I can't wait for the next installment in the series.
Thanks its currently in the edit process.
