Now this was a fun watch. Operation Eiche has always felt almost too cinematic to be real — gliders landing on a mountaintop, a dictator being snatched away, the whole thing playing out like something from a war movie — but seeing the actual footage and the breakdown of what really happened gives it a whole different weight.

What I liked most was how the video separated myth from reality without killing the drama. You get the daring side of the operation, but also the context and the planning behind it, which makes it even more impressive.

And I have to say… seeing a familiar FGM name buried in the credits gave me a grin. Nice work all around.
