Happily retired, I worked till I was 72, am now 88, this year 2026 I will be 89
you could say I have earnt my crust
I love this track and it has some cool cockpit footage from inside some impassive fighter jets... Might not be your jam in music taste but every time I hear it my body shivers with awesome and I play it full blast...
Interesting fact Russian jets are painted green for the instrument panels to be easier on the eyes...
On this day in music history, 1965 — The Rolling Stones recorded “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction.” One of the great riffs in rock history, with Charlie Watts laying down the beat behind it. 🎸🥁

This is a damn good version of this classic...
One of the most horrible features of war is that all the war-propaganda, all the screaming and lies and hatred, comes invariably from people who are not fighting.

On This Day in Music — May 20, 1954 🎸
Rock Around the Clock by Bill Haley & His Comets was released on May 20, 1954.
At first, the song was only a modest success. But everything changed in 1955 when it was featured prominently in the opening of the film Blackboard Jungle. The explosive energy of the song — paired with scenes of rebellious teenagers — electrified young audiences and terrified plenty of parents.
Suddenly, rock and roll had arrived.
“Rock Around the Clock” went on to become the first true rock-and-roll song to reach No. 1 on the Billboard charts and helped launch a worldwide youth-culture revolution. Its pounding backbeat and driving rhythm sounded radically different from the polished pop music of the early 1950s.
