@deadpanic @guardsman Your Leopold Canal Battle #2 Turn 001 is up in the Dropbox. Both of you have updated orders/briefing files in your respective team Dropboxes. The Trackers are updated and you should be able to use them to assist in Round 2 purchases. I'd appreciate screenshots so I can verify everything is legal before the game gets too far along.
I am very pleased with how this one played out in Round 1! I'm feeling like it is a good "story." Hopefully it continues to be fun!
@onepingonly It was a great game! I really enjoyed it.
@Opo, is Round 2 of Leopold good to go? Our Shermans are sitting here gunning their engines and the commander just shouted out 'start the purple'..whatever that means π
edit...d'oh just seen the new messages! Good stuff π
Bumping this back up for ANYONE out there who has interest:
@jackal338 Β is looking for a partner to try out the CMBN Pont Hubert PvP mini-campaign. The OOB is fixed and based on a historical engagement (US 30th ID & 3rd Armored vs Pz Lehr) in the Normandy hedgerows. He's looking for a willing opponent to give this a try.
Ping me if interested.
@jackal338 and @stoneage - I will pair you up for Pont Hubert. Please work out who is playing which side, and I'll set it up!
I'm excited for this one, promises to be quite bloody 🙂 . Hopefully the balance is OK - you are my test subjects.
@guardsman I've uploaded my turn and it's been approved.
@deadpanic i have chosen my forces for battle 2, just awaiting approval from @onepingonly before i place them on the map.
@aurelius Β and @deadpanic Β - Based on die roll, we will proceed to File 100 UNLESS both of you wish to stop, separate a bit, and move to the reinforcement phase. Please IM me your preference and I will resolve from there.
@aurelius and @deadpanic - Both of you want to stop, so we will!
@aurelius already submitted a plan, so if you can do the same, @deadpanic , then I can get to work on set-up zones and intel/briefing for Battle #3.Β
Remember that line of sight to lines of communication and proximity to enemy units will determine where reinforcements can drop in, whether certain units in or nearly in contact may be repositioned, and how much intel your opponent may be given about such things. 🙂Β
@stoneage and @jackal338 I will set up the fixed OOB version of Pont Hebert for you as soon as I can this week.
@deadpanic and @aurelius - Your Noville-Foy Battle #3 briefings and first turn is up! The 001 file is to Aurelius.
I went ahead and dumped the rest of your Campaign Purchase into a scenario, along with your Battle 2 & 3 survivors. That seemed the most efficient way to do things. Hope that is OK.
Good luck in this last battle of the series!
@guardsman and @deadpanic - Change of plan, because it is getting complex. I've taken your purchase screens and some of our further discussion and set up Battle #2 as a scenario. This seemed to be the best way to get units roughly placed where they need to be based on Battle #1 locations. You still have freedom to move things around within the zones, but this way ensured accuracy of the re-organized and disbanded sub-units. Hope you understand (and agree).
First turn is to Guardsman.
Not a problem at all. I'm looking forward to the next games.Β
FYI - I'll be away today until Wednesday evening for a concert out of town, with no laptop. Hopefully all the games get started smoothly; it not, I'll deal with it when I return.
okay @opo, understood!Β @deadpanicΒ B2 turn 002 has been winged over to you π
