I'll just leave this here for anyone who loves a map and would like to convert it for another CM title.
**Be aware that play testing it early is important as not all ground effects and buildings are compatible**
- For example tall bocage in CMFB is not available in the editor.
* I make a duplicate of the file I want to convert so if something goes wrong you don't loose the original. *

I found that map conversions work pretty well. As you indicated, some terrain fixing might have to be performed afterwards.
