Hey, I (38 years old) am from Germany and looking for PBEM games of CM1x (which I have on my Thinkpad; I also have CMFI with all addons). And maybe someone can help me to get the Steam version of CMBO, CMBB and CMAK (country is blocked). This would be very cool. I heard it is possible as a Steam gift from a EU user (I would send a giftcard in advance, of course).

Hey platanenmuster — welcome aboard. You’ll definitely find some CMx1 PBEM opponents around here; there are still quite a few grognards keeping the old classics alive. CMFI with all the addons gives you plenty of options too.
Unfortunately I’m not able to help with the Steam side of things, as I don’t really know anything about the region restrictions or gifting process. Hopefully someone else here can point you in the right direction.
