Well, a quick introduction from me.
I'm Bootie, aka Shane. I set up the Few Good Men back when dial up internet was still a thing with a 48k bandwidth (not even joking), I was young, free and single without a care in the world. Today you can find me battling with a teenage daughter, doing a 'to do' list my wife keeps updating and moaning about taxes and mortgages. Welcome to my retreat in a world of insanity.

I'm Terry, one of the original plank owners and 2nd oldest member (Hi Ted). My call sign is mTk but you can call me "Sir."
I live just south of San Francisco about 1/2 mile from Montara State Beach.
[RHM] shall return as soon as practical.

I'm Louis (or Luis, whichever you prefer). I'm from Argentina, specifically the city of Castelar in the Province of Buenos Aires. I still remember just a month ago when I mentioned in the chat that I'd turned 14 years on the old site, this it crashed. And what's worse, I went from being a Lt. General to a mere recruit. Damn. The good thing is that we're back here, commenting again. I hope the images are enabled soon because (as those who know me are aware) I don't play games.
A hug for all!
I'm Rico from Johannesburg, South Africa and also one of the longest-running members here on The Few Good Men -- I think I joined back in 1999?
The FGM is my digital wargaming equivalent of my local corner pub -- place to chill, hang out with some really cool people and of course get stuck into some great war games.
One of the most horrible features of war is that all the war-propaganda, all the screaming and lies and hatred, comes invariably from people who are not fighting.

I’m Andréas from Stockholm, Sweden. Fairly new to the forum (joined 2-3 years ago?), I’m interested in way older eras than WWII; namely antiquity and the 'dark' ages. As such, I’m trying to revive interest in historical campaigns where the field battles are played out in multi-player Field of Glory II: Ancients. Nerdy, I know. 😎
What I particularly like about FGM is the friendly atmosphere here! I immediately felt welcome when I first joined, and that’s why I want to be part of rebuilding this community (and in the end make the Ancient Era section larger than the WWII one 😉). Thanks, Bootie!
Hello FGMers! I am Dimitris, and I hail from Greece. Military history and wargaming are my hobbies. I also joined FGM quite a few years ago, and that was a wise choice 🙂
Ade, long time player of the Combat Mission titles and returning to them. Absolutely love the WW2 titles, going through Normandy scenarios at the moment. Would love to get back into H2H Battles
Hello; I'm Commanderski (Warren) from New Hampshire USA. I've been here on and off since '99. My main interest is in the Russian Front/Eastern Front but also have all the other WWII titles.
Greetings Y’all. I’m Nort. I came over from the Blitz Wargaming Club with Bootie, Rico and mTk back in 1999. The FGM has been a part of my daily experience ever since. Glad to be back at it.
Gentlemen, good to see you all again. Been a member since 2003 or there abouts.
How do I change my avatar?
Hello everyone. My name is Marty and I live in New Hampshire, USA also. Howdy Commanderski, we're almost neighbors. 😀 Glad to see the forum back up.
@nathangun Upper left is a drop down under your <Profile>. Go to "Account" and that should be your page to change avatar and a lot of other membership info.

Lacigal (Phil) from Nantes, France. I'm a big fan of video games, and I started out with tapes on Oric in the early 80s. I like playing wargames, especially WWII, but also SGS titles and many others, most recently Age of Longbow by WDS. I've only been on FGM for two years, but I really enjoy it and have found some very interesting gaming partners.

Thanks Lacigal, glad you made it across and I appreciate the advice regarding the mail. Got it all sorted.
Good morning troopers,
My name is Ted and I live in Blue Point New York.
It's good to see the new site up and running. When the last site crashed I felt like I had lost an old friend.
I'm with Luis though, I felt like I was a Major forever and never going to get promoted and now here I am a private again. Ah well, time to work my way up through the ranks again.
Yay! I made it over! Thanks, @fgmbootie for your help!
I'm OPO from Wisconsin, USA and joined the site 'round COVID time, and it has been great! I've made many "virtual" friends here, and enjoy both participating in and making content (campaigns, etc.).
I have a life-long love of history and travel, and am blessed with a job that provides global travel opportunities. It's always great to learn new cultures and a bit of language, but comforting to see that everyone, everywhere is pretty much the same. CM is one of my main hobbies, but others include scale modeling and camping/hiking/bird photography.
Salutations, and happy to be back, Art from Oakland, California, reporting in. I was an Avalon Hill and ASL player in the 80s and 90s; I still have all my games, about 25 in total. After playing AH Panzer Blitz by snail mail for many years with my friend TeddyA, I stumbled upon Combat Mission: Beyond Overlord in 2000. We have both played CM almost every day since.
