Greetings FGM family!!! Currently reside in the state of Georgia, USA!  Got started on the Blitz site way back in the day when a buddy first introduced me to the original Combat Mission. Don't recall when I got started with FGM but it has been my gaming home ever since. Great community to be a part of. Sadly, I don't play nearly as much as I would like to due to RL but I love being able to jump on and see what is going on and maybe get a game in here or there. So happy to see the gang getting back together!!!

I've been involved with Combat Mission since 2001 - mainly into scenario design and such like. Mostly play against the AI but do dabble in H2H play to keep me sharp!

Hello everyone, Markus657 checking in. I was stunned when the FGM page was nomas. Then there it was again. I am a retired Deputy Sheriff from the central valley of California. I live in Bakersfield with my wife and four dogs. I have been playing CM from the first day I bought the CMBO in a computer store which is no longer in business. My interest is WW2 mostly and I am really hoping we can delve into 1940 France and North Africa with Rommel and the Africa Corps. Long live a FGM.

I'm Joe from Wash, DC area...Just re-registered and back again with this newer version of the FGM.

Use to play 15mm/Micro-Armor ACW & WWII figures when Dad had a hobby shop ('Wargamers Hobby Shop') near Dulles Airport, Virginia for 10 in the early 90's (I still have my collection of figures to this day). Then, I started playing CMx1 back in early 2K timeframe for a decade, and now WWII CMx2.

Hi, I'm Meat Grinder. Bootie said my previous intro was low effort, so here is my second attempt.

Doug is the name, ask me again and I'll tell you the same. Started my love of wargaming in the early 1980s with Avalon Hill, Games Designers Workshop, and other developers. After having played PanzerBlitz, Wooden Ships & Iron Men, Squad Leader, and several others, I was hooked.

Then computers, and Dungeons & Dragons, came along and changed everything. That can be a story for another time.

After that, Big Time Software released Combat Mission and I was, again, hooked. It was basically Squad Leader as a computer game.

Long story short, blah blah, CM2 is released and is a vast improvement over CM1. I jump in full force and get as good at the CM2 engine as I can and start competing on the FGM website tourneys. I win best of, dunno, 2018ish, and place in a few others. Lot's of good times around that decade.

Whole CM2 engine starts getting long in the tooth to me and I drift on to other things, such as Battle Brothers, MTG Arena, and many other indie games.

But, I'm still here because of the connections I formed during my time with CM2.

I can't imagine how demoralising the attack and subsequent issues with the old site were, but a massive tipping of the hat to you all for picking everything back up again 🤩
