I have a folder full of images from Rommel's campaign in France 1940. I colorized this photo of an Allied artillery barrage hitting a French bridge while German halftracks attempt to cross it. The shot was captured from a reconnaissance aircraft and I think it's an exceptional photograph. I certainly wouldn't want to be in any of those vehicles with shells landing that close!

I am wondering why they didn't use the rail bridge as well?
Good stuff, Bootie 👍
