A great video about one of my favourite tanks of WW2, the Panzer III --- I liked the interview with the guy who restored it for the Bovington Tank Museum.
One of the most horrible features of war is that all the war-propaganda, all the screaming and lies and hatred, comes invariably from people who are not fighting.
- George Orwell, Homage To Catalonia
The Panzer III may not get the glamour of the Tigers and Panthers, but it was the real workhorse of the early war Panzer arm — solid, dependable, and in the thick of things when it mattered most.
Really enjoyed the interview with the restorer from The Tank Museum, Bovington. Hearing from the people who actually keep these old warhorses alive adds a whole different level of respect.
That place has long been on my bucket list — one of those pilgrimages every armor enthusiast hopes to make at least once.
