@louis, go to My Profile (top left), then Account, and within that, you'll find the Change Avatar button.
Bootie I don't find a change avatar button there. When I mouse over the blank avatar icon I get a cue that says "Gravatar not found, is this you, grab your free profile"
Is there a way to link to an image I have saved somewhere like on line or on my pc?
You need to make a minimum of 3 posts.
There doesn't seem to be a "New posts" link anywhere. A "UserCP" (or "Subscribed threads") link as well. These are usually in a pulldown menu for Xenoforo.
@redwolf this isnt xenforo, to post use the Add Topic button top right. To go to your profile its at the top beside the logout button and in there you can see your subscriptions etc. New posts are called unread posts now... again top right.

I only see "Recent posts", which is something different than "New posts".
@fgmbootie I don't see anything that looks like a "chatbox." Does that come with the Premium website option. 😖

Probably not. It is completely different software than the old forum that had evolved over 20 odd years so Im afraid at this moment... not likely but will keep an open mind about trying to find a solution.
As an aside it was funny that before I had even released the address for our new home @alpha-zwo had found his way here and registered. He is our proverbial Pathfinder. 🙂
