You are confused. All BFC purchases got you both the mac and windows versions.  

You also need to make sure you have all *.brz files. A patch usually comes with 1 or 2. If you miss it you have missing textures in 3D.   ./C...

I am reasonably sure there never was an attempted fix for the Gill. I can't test right now (CMSF2 on Mac and no activation server).  

I never liked their built-in PBEM+. Put together in haste and nobody presses the reset button on the server on weekends.
