I am reasonably sure there never was an attempted fix for the Gill. I can't test right now (CMSF2 on Mac and no activation server).  

I never liked their built-in PBEM+. Put together in haste and nobody presses the reset button on the server on weekends.

Did they really release a new CMSF2 patch without fixing the Gill?
