And as expected, it seems Iran will not be participating in the World Cup. Who will replace them? We'll soon find out.
Really looking forward to this World Cup — having it spread across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico should make for a pretty unique tournament. It’ll be interesting to see how the expanded format plays out and whether one of the traditional powers takes it or if we get a surprise run from an underdog. I’ll probably be watching it from the comfort of my couch though — seeing it in person might be a bit too pricey for me! ⚽🍻

If you're complaining and you live near the venues, imagine what it costs to travel from here. A quick look shows that going to the WC from Argentina will cost between USD 7,000 and over USD 11,000 per person for the group stage. This budget includes flights, tickets, accommodation, and food, making it one of the most expensive World Cups due to the high prices in the USA. 🙁
With USD 18,000 I could buy a 2022 Toyota Etios here and still have some cash left over.
No doubt, It would have been more affordable to have traveled to Qatar in 2022. 🙄

Wow, that really puts it into perspective. That’s quite a trip from Argentina — those costs would add up quickly. Prices here in California can be pretty insane… sometimes it feels like buying a hot dog and a beer at a stadium requires a small loan! 😄⚽

I'll be pulling for the defending champs in the opener Louis. If it is any consolation, I heard on the radio that tickets for a midfield seat in the lower bowl of Arrowhead for the quarter-final game are 50000 USD per ticket.
On a related note, the English national team is staying at a luxury hotel less than two miles from my house. Unfortunately, I have not followed English soccer for a large number of years, so I wouldn't know any of the big names if they walked up to me and shook my hand.
