Wife is going in for heart surgery tomorrow. If there is such a thing as good news it's a relatively "minor" procedure.
Of course it's a "minor" surgery except when it's yours I suppose.
Anyway, she had it done 7-8 years ago and she needs a tune up. If all goes well she'll only be in the hospital for about a
day and then they'll tell me to come pick 'er up. I probably will. 😍
Soo... if I'm not posting for a day, or two, I'll be playing the home nurse roll.

Feels like we’re in one of those long attritional phases again — Ukraine still grinding along while everyone watches diplomacy and logistics more than maneuver, which would probably look very familiar to anyone studying late-war fronts. Locally here in Sacramento it’s calm before the next storm system, overcast and low 60s today with rain moving in soon — very February, very mud season.

@panzer-lehr Yeah, Bay Area is going to get it with a significant rain storm starting, uh, about right now.
Good news is the wind isn't expected to exceed 20MPH or so. The last one hit 55MPH at Montara Beach
and just wrecked all the old trees around me. Fortunately the power was only down about 36hrs.
Fingers crossed.
Oh, and the wife is fine. Or as well as one can be after surgery.
