Polish insurgent fighter Lt. Stanislaw Jankowski (1911/2002) and his men moments before W-hour (1700 hours) which marked the start of the Warsaw Uprising on Aug 1, 1944.
Jankowski (code name: "Agaton") was an SOE agent and Polish resistance fighter during the war, and an architect thereafter, who played a prominent role in the post-war reconstruction of Warsaw.
