Just completed a 1.5 km x 1.9 km map depicting the area fought over between 2nd Battalion 506th (US) Parachute Regiment, 101st Airborne and elements of 91.Infanterie-Division on June 7th, 1944 (D-Day +1). I realize that a similar map is available in the old scenario "Retaking Vierville". My 'interpretation' is larger and based on les photos aerienne from 1950 and 5 meter contour intervals available online at geoportail. There are no flavour objects as yet. Taking a break first. Later will create two scenarios; The American attack out of Caloville and the later German counter-attack.
This weekend it's time for a beer and pretzels club game of Wings of Glory WWI miniatures.

The map has been expanded from Caloville, through Vierville to Angoville au Plain to allow for the running battle between 1st & 2nd 506 PIR , 101st Airborne and I./6 Fallschirmjaeger. I have not yet added deployment zones or objectives or created any scenarios. At the moment I am working on and have almost completed a similarly large map of Ste Marie du Mont and its surrounds. This includes the village of Holdy where elements of 506 PIR, 101st Airborne attacked a German 105 mm battery.
Both will be uploaded once Bootie has repaired the scenarios and mods area. If I get impatient in the meantime, then I will make them available via a shared Dropbox.

An update view of the final master map for Vierville. Approximately 2km x 2km. Will become available with and without a few abandoned parachutes and half a dozen gliders. The latter are unfortunately Horsa rather than Wako because I have not mods for Wako. Positions of the parachutes and gliders are historically correct.
