Ste. Marie du Mont sits a few miles behind Utah beach. Autoroute D913 runs through it, then through Vierville towards St. Come du Mont. On D-Day a number of 506 PIR troopers landed on and around Ste. Marie du Mont due to scatter from the bad drop. Many landed between S.M. du Mont and an undiscovered German 105 mm battery at Holdy. A handful of troopers of mixed battations, including 1st 506 PIR attached and eliminated the battery. On the 7th of June another mere handful attacked S.M. du Mont added to the confusion of the already panicked and withdrawing German occupiers.
Both this and my new Vierville maps require that my building mods be installed. The current versions of the maps have no flavour objects to allow players to cut the maps into smaller segments for smaller QB play. If I had included flavour objects then these fly around to new locations when the maps are cut down. This is a 'bug' due to flavour objects being registered to an unseen grid and not registered to a map feature.
When I feel like it and created associated scenarios on smaller versions of these maps then I will also add flavour objects. Adding F.O.s is a bother because doing it well takes far more time than creating the original maps.

What a terrific job in enhancing this map.
How do we get the map and your building mods?
If you PM me your email address, then I will share a drop box with you.

Very nice work — I always enjoy seeing classic Normandy locations get a fresh treatment, and Ste-Marie-du-Mont is a great choice.🪖🙂
