I've been eyeing this headset for quite some time, and a week ago, I finally decided now is the time. I have to say, I’m absolutely impressed so far!
It works great as a standalone device, but it also has the ability to "stream" content from a PC—specifically custom VR apps and games. Naturally, one of the first things I tried was Il-2 Sturmovik Great Battles, and it is truly something special.
Sitting in the cockpit makes you feel like you're actually there. It perfectly captures the cramped interior of a WWII aircraft while giving you a real sense of the machine's scale. The situational awareness is incredible; you can lean, duck, and turn your head exactly where you need to look. Microsoft Flight Simulator feels just as immersive.
I’ve also been experimenting with apps that offer the "passthrough" function, which allows you to overlay 3D objects onto your real-world surroundings.
And it is possible to play 'normal' games on giant virtual screen.
Anyway, I’m absolutely thrilled with the device and wanted to share my excitement with the community!
I had opportunity to sit in real Spitfire MKV and BF109G, and i must say ( again 🙂 ) i'm really impressed how their cockpits are transferred into digital world.
How would it help with developing?
How would it help with developing?
To make a game for it and sell it 🙂
I started to work on something that is... let's call it 'educational game'. We'll see in 2-3 months what will happen with that one....
