What stands out in this footage is how little actual forward momentum there is.
Some men move, others hesitate, and there’s no real cohesion — just individuals reacting under fire. The guy who drops does so instantly, which feels a lot closer to reality than anything cinematic.
It really shows that the problem in those first moments wasn’t “attacking” — it was simply surviving long enough to get off the beach.
