I’m a big Fallout fan. I played the first two original Interplay games, and I was very surprised by Fallout 3, which I played on my PS3. The last one I played was Fallout: New Vegas. As for the TV series, I have to say they’ve captured the essence of the games really well — I truly enjoyed the first season. The only thing I don’t like about TV series in general is that they tend to drag them out as long as they keep making money, and when that stops, they either cancel them without a proper ending or give them a bad one. So I really hope that doesn’t happen with Fallout… but we’ll see

I enjoyed the first series - never played the game as such, but from what I know about them, the adaptation captured the tone of the games pretty well.

Looking fwd to watching the 2nd season as soon as I get to it.

One of the most horrible features of war is that all the war-propaganda, all the screaming and lies and hatred, comes invariably from people who are not fighting.

Hoo Boy!! Finally got around to starting this one up. I'm about halfway through episode One and I'm lovin' it!

Seriously, this is great fun. Walton Goggins steals every scene he is in.

Oh, and absolutely NOT for the squeamish. Not even a little bit.

War. War Never Changes.

Love Fallout! Never played the game, but I’ve been watching the show and I’m all caught up. The world-building, dark humor, and retro-apocalypse vibe are 🔥. Lucy and Cooper/The Ghoul are such great characters.

One scene I loved in the Fallout is the opening sequence with Cooper Howard entertaining kids at a birthday party just before the bombs fall. Everything starts out cheerful and nostalgic — cowboy tricks, smiling families, that whole retro-Americana vibe — and then suddenly a mushroom cloud appears on the horizon and the world collapses in minutes. That moment really captured the Fallout tone for me: the strange mix of bright optimism and absolute catastrophe that has defined the series since the original Fallout. It’s funny, surreal, and horrifying all at once, and it felt exactly like something that could happen in the Fallout universe.
