This is Aaro Pajari (1897/1949), one of the most respected commanders in Finnish military history, on Sept 1941.
He was a major general in the Finnish Army. During WW2, he became one of the four double recipients of the Mannerheim Cross 2nd Class.
In the image (colourized), he is carefully testing the trigger pull weight of his Luger P08 using a specialized measuring device to verify the pistol’s mechanical condition and firing precision.
