Looks like a pretty classic late-May NorCal day shaping up: mild morning, warm afternoon, not brutally hot yet. Basically: “coffee outside before the furnace months arrive.”

@hedgehog I was pulling for Arsenal for you, Ted. That great Havertz goal six minutes in had me thinking Arsenal might just pull it off. Tough way to lose after such a great season, especially on penalties. Hopefully they'll get another crack at it next year. ⚽

I am also a fan of women's sports—basketball, football (soccer), rugby, volleyball, softball, college sports, the pros, the Olympics, and more. The quality has always been there. More people are finally discovering it. As the saying goes, "Everyone Watches Women's Sports."

@hedgehog, Bunny Shaw and Manchester City were simply too much on this day. Brighton started brightly, but City showed why they’re champions. Still, a cup final at Wembley and a great season for the Seagulls. ⚽☕

@panzer-lehr.... Spot on mate afraid the Seagulls were out played by Manchester, a couple of goals from Brighton would have livened the game up in the second half, That's football

@hedgehog Yes, I can help. I wish I could watch them again with new eyes.
Start with episodes IV-VI. These were the original movies that caused the series to become film legend. Keep in mind episode IV "A New Hope" was released in 1977. People lined up around multiple city blocks just to get a seat. It was worth the wait. There had never been anything like it on the big screen before. The graphics don't hold up all that well now, but then...? Besides it's all about the story, characters and the actors.
Next should be Episode V "The Empire Strikes Back" 1980. I can't believe I had to wait 3 yrs for it, but arguably it is the best of all the episodes. It gets my vote.
Then you can go for Episode VI "The Return of the Jedi" 1983. IMHO it is the weakest of the three but at a minimum you have to watch it to find out what happened to Solo after he got frozen and some interesting views of Princess Leia in a bikini. It was shocking at the time.
At this point I'd recommend you get off the path and go watch a seperate movie called "Rogue One." This is a prequel sort of but mostly runs in parallel to Episode IV. I really liked it. It has been described as Staar Wars for adults. I hardily agree.
If you haven't had enough you can watch episodes I, II and III. They were not well received by the Star Wars community, but do have character development which is interesting and the CGI shows real imporivement. By then the shine had started to come off.
There was one other stand alone movie called "Solo" that gave a backstory to the Hans Solo character. I kind of liked it,but I may be the only one.
Lastly there were Episodes V, VI & VII. Complete trash. Disney got ahold of the IP and destroyed Star Wars for good. Please do NOT watch any of those episodes. Your mind will rot.
Anything you need to know I'll answer questions as needed. "Once Upon A Time In A Galaxy Far Far Away..."
And here's John Williams who wrote the music. Best movie score ever? Maybe!

Senatus Populusque Romanus- SPQR - The Senate and People of Rome (circa 60 BC)
I was 14 when the original Star Wars came out. My three older brothers and two older sisters loaded me and my younger brother into our old wood-paneled station wagon and took us to see it. This was back in the days before seat belts seemed to matter much. We rode in those rear-facing seats in the back, staring out the rear window, making faces at the cars behind us, sticking out our tongues and generally acting like little idiots the whole way there.
I think it was at the old Varsity Theatre in Palo Alto, though after nearly 50 years I wouldn't swear to it.
Then the movie started.
Up until then, science fiction for me was Star Trek reruns, Lost in Space, and old Buck Rogers and Flash Gordon adventures. Then that Star Destroyer appeared overhead and suddenly it felt like I'd jumped 50 years into the future.
It's hard to explain to people today just how mind-blowing those effects were in 1977. We'd never seen anything like it. The whole experience left a lasting impression on me. For a kid growing up in that era, it was pure magic.
What I remember most was walking out of the theater feeling like I'd seen the future. Not just the future of science fiction, but the future of movies. Suddenly it felt like anything was possible on screen.
I couldn't wait for the next movie. Thankfully, those first three films never disappointed.
Since then, I've watched just about everything Star Wars has put out. I can't say it's all been pure magic like those first three films, but I've always managed to find something to enjoy. I've even watched all the animated series over the years and enjoyed those too. The older I get, the more I appreciate being able to spend a little more time in that galaxy far, far away.

Going to the WW2 weekend at Reading, PA airport today. Has quite a bit of an airshow, too.
