What is your favourite Combat Mission Title?
I started waaaaay back with all of the CMx1 titles and graduate to CMx2 of which I currently own all of the WWII titles, updates, revisions, and add-on packs as well as all player created scenarios and campaigns. That said my personal favourite theatre is Normandy, thus 'CMBN'. If I were to rank all four in order it would be: CMBN, CMRT, CMFB and CMFI.
What is your favourite Combat Mission Campaign?
I will avoid nominating one of my own creations to avoid self-serving bias. My favourite is CMBN based "For King and Country".
What is your favourite Combat Mission Scenario?
That's a really difficult one. I have a much more generalized opinion about this. I prefer scenarios that are strongly based on historical situations and well researched but that are at the same time willing to make some concessions to playability because that's where the fun is. I have personally offended that parameter with some of my creations by making them 'too large' or too uninteresting (i.e. not enough action).

I'm happy to share what I have. I have helped other players reinstall in the past. Takes about a half dozen transfers via my basic Drop Box for all of the CMBN stuff. By the way, although I have downloaded everything at one time or other, I have only retained my personal favourite stuff. Thus the All-in-One mod packs include items that I have excluded on purpose. For example I use Aris terrain for CMBN. Also, most of the files that I use are no longer associated with the author's credits. Sorry 'bout that.

I also played all three CMx1 titles, but to me, they are just way too out-dated now, so I won't consider them here.
For CMx2, the order is as follows:
- CMRT (especially with the addition of the excellent Fire&Rubble module)
- CMFI (there is just so much variability there, in nationalities and terrain / seasons)
- CMBN (the classic, must do theatre)
- CMFB (too constrained in scope)
What is your favourite Combat Mission Campaign?
I have to go with the campaigns from PaperTiger here, which he made for CMBN.
So "Road to Montebourg", "Scottish Corridor" and "Road to Nijmegen".
What is your favourite Combat Mission Scenario?
Indeed, the most difficult question of the three. Simply because enjoyment of a particular scenario not only depends on the design, but also the opponent (PBEM of course to be preferred) and how the battle develops in general.
That being said, I have very fond memories of two CMRT battles made by @georgemc :
- Studienka
- Der Ring der 5. Panzer Division
Both being large/huge armoured clashes on accurate, big maps - resulting usually in heaps of scrap metal for both sides. 😎
If you haven't played them, I would highly recommend them.
Shamelessly stealing Mike's list and rearranging, I used to be:
- CMRT
- CMBN
- CMFB
- CMFI
But in the last year and a bit I was drawn into CMCW with a H2H challenge (aka steep learning curve), then beta tested BAOR and despite my previous 'I'm WW2 only' thoughts I have loved it all. And now I have also been drawn into SF2 with a H2H challenge and I'm really quite liking it as well.
As for favourite scenarios I agree, anything by the great @georgemc will do, either in CMBN or CMRT these were great when I was starting out and playing single player. And they're great H2H as well. George knows I'm a big fan already 😆.
I love CMRT as well but my Mac file size is 36 Gigs! so it takes some time to load and I'm just waiting for it to crash while trying to play it with pbem's... CMFB is cool but does not have enough maps for QB's, Same with CMBS...

I would have to got with Cold War. I just like that time frame. Before it came out I would have said Fortress Italy because it has so much stuff and such a wide time frame.
