Back from my travels, so time to post some Field of Glory stuff. 😎
@chiquichops and @cargol and I are playing this quick and fun Field of Glory II Empires campaign --we started off with random drawn provinces and then each turn every player gets to declare one attack each turn. (Attacker gets to select two geographically appropriate armies reflecting the provinces being fought over in each battle -- players can choose from all the way back in 2500 AD Bronze Age to 600 AD end of Late Antiquity)
@chiquichops is playing GREEN.
@cargol is playing RED.
Rico is playing YELLOW.
Things have progressed quickly and we are already at Turn 6 of 8 with @chiquichops and @cargol in the lead, each controlling the CARTHAGO and GAUL/GERMANIA regions respectively. (controlling a Region scores +2 extra points)
Battle this Turn are in GALLIA, and CILICIA ... and I am using my fleet to assault CARTHAGE from LYBIA.
Scoring:
1. Capital Province: 3 pts
2. Province: 1 pt
3. Regions: +2 pts
More updates as current battles get resolved.
One of the most horrible features of war is that all the war-propaganda, all the screaming and lies and hatred, comes invariably from people who are not fighting.

Do you use FOG II to actually play your battles or do you sue the abstract system? Always wanted to try Empires...
@earl-of-grey -- this isn't using the FOG Empires game -- it's just a campaign I created where we use the FOG II game to fight the battles.
We also do the same for Fog: Medieval.

Welcome back Rico! Both battles started, some skirmishes while main forces are closing in.
I see. Well, question answered. Battle reports incoming as well...? 😉
The battle for CARTHAGE ends in a 53 - 11 = +42% Yellow Victory!
The Kyrenean Greek chariots did well ... and their cavalry did sterling service to secure a glorious victory for the Yellow Empire on the North African shores.

It was a crushing defeat for the Green Empire. Let's see if we can crack the Red defence in Gallia and hold them off in Cilicia. It'll be a bad turn all round for me if not.

After two extremely close battles, Red forces managed to won both of them .
Gallia 61-57 and Cilicia 60-58. Thanks to @chiquichops for the two games.
TURN 6 concludes with more defeats (if incredibly close ones with single digit % point margings) for the Green Empire and @cargol 's Red Empire ascendant with two regions under control and a healthy points lead.
Moving right along to TURN 7
Attack orders sequence:
1. Yellow: Rico (+42%)
2. Red: Cargol (+4%0
3. Green: Chiquichops (-3%)

@cargol -- you're up next!

The battle for Hispania is ongoing. A small detachment of mine is dealing with a green skirmishing force while my main force is closing in on the main enemy force. I do not have a good feeling about this .
