@rico I ve pressed ''rolled'' nothing happened though π
You need to select the 8 sided die. 😎Β
One of the most horrible features of war is that all the war-propaganda, all the screaming and lies and hatred, comes invariably from people who are not fighting.

Ouch 😣 Β - the French fleet is destroyed and the attack is repulsedβ¦and the siege train also.Β
Bad day for French fortunes.Β
We move on to the next turn with the Holy League having two attacks.Β

The empire strikes back!Β
Holy Roman Empire attacks Milan from Brescia and Madua attacks Pisa.
@cargolΒ -- cool, I'll set up the battles in the morning.

Finally getting round to updating this.
TURN 5
...and this campaign is quickly turning into bit of a disaster for the French. After losing their Fleet in a naval battle off NAPLES, they are now firmly on the defensive.
This is the moment that Holy Roman Emperor Maximillian decides to send a German Imperial army over the alps to help out the Holy League and this army attacks MILAN, hoping to knock out the sole French ally in Italy.
The Florentines are also on the attack once again, aiming to evict the French out of PISA.
Battle is joined -- another round of swirling battles vs @cargolΒ

TURN 5 ends with the Holy Roman Empire army and its regiments of ruthless German Landsknechte steamrollering the Milanese defenders and capturing MILAN, removing France's only ally off the board.Β
(the province will be handed over to Venice's control and the HRE army is withdrawn -- it's a one-shot event)
Further south, in PISA, the French rally and use their Swiss pikemen to good effect and inflict a Major Defeat on the attacking Florentines.
TURN 6
Start of TURN 6 has both sides with one Initiative Point, with as per rules the French going first.
A French army marches north and attacks MILAN to try and evict the Venetians and re-establish the duchy as an ally (end pre-empt a possible Venetian attack on GENOA)
@cargolΒ -- over to you.Β

French woes continue in Italy as the Florentines capture PISA and the Venetians hold the French attackers to a Minor Victory in MILAN.
TURN 7 and MILAN is under French siege. The Venetian use their Initiative Point to launch an attack from BRESCIA to to try and relieve the siege.
Battle commences ... at this point, the King of France will be lucky to hang on to Genoa ... even the vaunted Swiss mercenaries are proving unreliable. 🙄Β

I believe that the crucial point was the destruction of the French fleet. Without a fleet, reaching to Naples would have been a province too far.Β
All in all the Holy League is quite satisfied that managed to contain the French to the North part of the peninsula.Β
We might be tempted to attempt a coup de grace launching a seaborne attack to France next turn π
The French have another dismal battle trying to hold of the Venetian siege relief attack at MILAN -- Venetians achieve a Minor Victory, which lifts the siege, but the French retain their Initiative Point.Β
Those Swiss mercenary pikes are starting to look like a liability... 🙄Β
TURN 8
It's the final Turn of the campaign.
The French go first and make a last-ditch effort to recapture MILAN attacking from Turin -- while preparing to see where @cargol will launch his next attack into.
