Since the question of skins has come up, I might as well show what I've been up to lately - and not touched for quite some time:
In the process of redoing the Panther D late almost from scratch so I can apply a different Zimmerit pattern and while I'm at it I'll improve upon all details like correct running gear, better engine deck with more accurate wire mesh, accurate bolt and werld seam placement and the like.
This is the Panzer IV J late which I'm trying to get to look like a final J with mesh skirts on behalf of a friend. The same like above: more accurate details and in this case a more advanced base texture with integrated weathering - turret still is the original base texture.
Hope you like it and that I can find time to continue working on it! 😆

That's pretty cool looking, but in the pictures I've seen of mesh Schürzen Ausf.J's the mesh looks pretty transparent.
I'm not super experienced with CM modding, but I believe that a full black alpha channel gives full transparency (at least with the UI elements), so perhaps it would be possible to simulate that?
Of course they will be transparent when done, that's jsut a work in progress - it's easier for me to do the rims and hanger parts when the texture is solid.
Really nice work — the modeling and detail in those images look great, you can tell a lot of care went into it. Appreciate you sharing your work with everyone. 🪖🙂

Hoping I'll find some time again working on these - this year's start has been a bit rough...
Thanks for the feedback, guys!
