How go the battles in ITALIA and GRAECIA?
One of the most horrible features of war is that all the war-propaganda, all the screaming and lies and hatred, comes invariably from people who are not fighting.

Both are in full swing. Tough battles for the legitimate emperor 🙂
Cargolus defeats Fortis in Italy by a score of 48 to 61. Congratulations Cargol.
My general, Fortis, ran away when the unit he was with was dispersed. Does that count as survival, no matter how dishonorable?
@otosan Yes, he lives to fight another day.

The attacking BLUE legions in ITALIA suffer a (48 - 61 - -13%) defeat at the hands of RED.
General Fortis flees the field to fight another day.

@rico : @cargol 's C-in-C fell in battle. Mine too maybe, but not fully sure, because I couldn't replay. What do you say, @cargol ?

Uh-oh... is Chronus perhaps the first major leader to fall in this campaign?

I (and Chronus) fear so. But Blatta is quite happy and hopeful. 🙂
@kronenblatt @rico Indeed, the treacherous Chronus is dead ( I reviewed the end turn and there is nowhere to be found).
Rumor has it that he died of a heart attack when he saw the legitimate emperor's legions. 🤣

The legitimate emperor's dead legions, you mean? 😉
Key here is not whether he has disappeared at the end turn (all routed units and accompanying generals do after a certain number of turns), but if he himself actually got killed in battle, and not if his commanded unit routed. That's an important distinction, but nevertheless I believe he actually fell in battle (although I couldn't watch it again as it was my own turn, why I asked you in the battle's chat to check but you never answered), so am willing to let Blatta take leadership of my faction. 🙂
TURN 1 is now completed with a GREEN victory in GRAECIA -- unfortunately the GREEN faction's aspirant emperor and general Chronus has paid with his life.
His deputy General Blatta will now take command of the Green legions.

@rico : what’s the status of PONTUS? Impossible to attack from and into?
