@chiquichops lol! Yeah, I'd prefer to play the Armenians. Something a bit different. Happy to play the turks just for fun as we've started the match.
it's where they keep their beer supplies ... well worth capturing. 😆

The war in Cilicia is hard fought, I've managed to nearly sweep the Byzantine cav from the field, but at the cost of losing all of my heavy infantry. And worryingly my lancers have not managed to successfully charge any of Chiquichops Skoutati/Archers. Overall that unit type has held up surprisingly well against my non-archer Skoutati.
Meanwhile in Tuscany the Normans are held up by a heroic defense of the hill on our left flank by two crossbow units and 3 light archers, which is key to advancing safely due to the forest behind it which certainly holds surprises for us in wait. Most of both our armies have not engaged yet...
@vuk-teble It was a brutal battle with a few points between us all the way. It looked like I'd lost it at one point but the Byzantines managed to scrape a 61-48 victory. Those Romans are crazy!

@chiquichops I'd have got away with it if not for you and your meddling Byzantine Flankers!
@vuk-teble You're probably right.

@otosan 🤣

First two battles have concluded.
GREEN conquers CILICIA with a close 61 - 48 = +13% victory
The WHITE attack into TUSCANY stalls with a Draw with the battle timing out at 55 - 41 = +14%

The battle for GRANADA is now at the bloody, confused melee phase. Emir @cargol had a pretty good defensive position and opted for a mainly infantry force anchored on the Berber veteran spear formations. His light cavalry are an absolute pain in the rear (literally) as the Castillians attack, but we seem to have managed to get a few mounted knights in behind their lines, hoping to do some damage while praying our line of foot holds.
The battle in SERBIA is a bit of a confused mess... @otosan shifted his army to his right flank -- I matched it, but too soon to see how this will play out.
The Serbian lancers are one of those annoying half & half lancer/archer units... which often are not good at either job.
The Autofill has also gifted the Serbians with a bunch or raw spearmen and two peasants units (held well back) -- quality might tell here at the end.

@rico Serbians cavalry are pretty nimble and can pack a punch if they get chance to soften up the enemy first...

Yeah, I think Serbian archer/lancers and raw spear spam might be a good counter to a bulgar archer cav army.
Your abundance of archers are bedeviling me.
The battle for GRANADA ends in a YELLOW Minor Defeat (43 - 63 = -20%) ... the Yellow Empire stumbles out of the starting blocks. 😉
@cargol -- well played, those Berbers are a tough nut to crack. 🙂

Can't log into Multiplayer on either FOGII or Medieval -- hope it gets sorted some time today -- battle for SERBIA is at the final crunch point. 😬
How goes the battle for LIVONIA?
Edit: just got into server -- things looking a bit grim for the Serbians -- we're down to charging peasants. 😎

I came to tell you that I received and returned your latest move. The Serbs are a darned tenacious bunch. They are above 50% in losses but the Bulgars have high losses too so it's hard to get that 25% difference to break their spirit. Tough battle.
Brave Livonian troops are defending a river line that bisects the map against the beer swilling, wagon driving Prussians. (I think Livonia would be in tough shape without that defense feature). The Prussians are searching along the line for a crossing point that won't hurt to badly to cross. As a result, casualties are low, on both sides, so far.
Yep, those Serbs have tough fingernails by which they are hanging on...
