Battles List updated campaign map post.

All that's oustanding is @vuk-teble 's army selection for defending CICILIA.

Good luck everyone.

@chiquichops Okay, not much to choose from historically with the 1042-1071 range for Cilicia. Armenians don't show up til 1080. So deciding between Seljuq Turks (West) and a Byzantine civil war I went with Seljuq Turks (West) 1037-1154, hoping to recreate Manzikert. Mostly because I figured autofill would not do as good a job at unit picking as a player from the same list. Password Manzikert.

You don't have to match the attacking army's date range exactly -- just stay within the date range of the turn on the turn track -- so in this case, 1000 - 1099.

As long as your army (or part of it's date range) is within those date parameters, you're good.

So, Armenians could've been an option.

@rico I couldn't create a battle with them, because the game wants the date ranges of the matched armies to match up.

I had a thought and was able to set up a Time Warp - Armenia 885-1045 vs Byzantine 1042-1071. I think I'd actually prefer to play that one if that fits within the rules. @chiquichops (password Cilicia)

Ah, yes ... that makes sense. (my morning coffee hadn't kicked in yet, it seems. 😆 )

Battle for SERBIA has begun... my Serbian defenders' Autofill has definitely mobilised EVERYONE! -- even a whole bunch of peasants with pitchforks and hoes.

This is going to be fun, fun, fun!  😬

@vuk-teble  Sorry, I forgot to autofill and chose my army. I'll set up again

@chiquichops Right - so I'll click end battle on the Papal-Italo Norman battle we currently have ongoing. I noticed you picked up the Seljuq-Byzantine instead of the Armenian-Byzantine. I'm happy to play them both out, but for the purposes of the campaign I intended to play as Armenians. Playing them both may of course expose my inability to make good choices based on unit lists for all to see...

@vuk-teble I thought that was the proper one, it not being a time warp battle. Is that correct. Ps. you need to autofill that one

Bulgarian army is arrayed in battle formation against the Serbs.  We have no pitchforks and since prostitution is illegal in our country, no hoes either.  We will have to use yours.

@chiquichops Yeah - I didn't get a reply from Rico confirming that the Time Warp was okay in order to match some Armenians against your chosen years of Byzantines. (There's an 25 year Armenian gap that coincides with your time-frame of Byzantines.) But his response seemed to indicate that any roster matching that region in the hundred years we're playing in was fine. Thus I then created the Time Warp battle to allow the Armenians to fight for their land. (And thanks for the auto-fill reminder, I autofilled the Seljuq's already just in case Rico chimes in with a ruling in favor of the Seljuqs instead.)

My apologies for the confusion caused.

I guess if you both agree, you can play the Time Warp battle to allow Armenians to participate. Not going to be too much of a stickler about it -- we also are supposed to be having fun here 🙂

@rico Thanks for the clarity, I just don't want to come across as being pushy or trying to reroll, it was my mistake to not have looked at Time Warp first before posting it.

The Italo-Normans facing off against the Papacy in their quest to take Tuscany and Rome along with it. The Pope seems to have a penchant for Raw Spearmen, though we don't know what Pope Chiquichopus is hiding in the woods.

@rico @vuk-teble  You want to go for the Armenians in the end? I'm good for that. I just haven't been looking at messages this week
