Ok. This is where it should be. Not the best screenshot anyway.

I see lots of infidel knights running away -- so looks pretty good to me. 😀

LOL, I see them ALL running away.
42-62 victory for the Adalusians. It wasn't an easy win.

Well done Emir Chiquichops. It was a bloody battle. El Cid will return.
TURN 1 concludes with the Castilian attack being repulsed in OPORTO with a Minor Defeat inflicted by Emir Chiquichops commanding the forces of the Taifa of Bajadoz.
So honours even in the opening round of this campaign!
TURN 2
The Christian side has TWO attacks in TURN 2.
@vuk-teble & @otosan -- where would you like to attack?

@rico I invade Zaragoza with Catalan (1050-1136).

@rico Tortosa. Does it matter at this stage? Maybe I'm missing something.
It does in this case:
Major Attacker Defeat:
If an Attacker suffers a Major Defeat (see definition below) the province from which the attack was launched is marked as Disrupted -- no attack can be launched from there for the next turn.
If the Disrupted Province is attacked in the next turn, it defends with a AUTOPICK army in the FOG: Medieval battle.
Definition: A Major Victory is when you win by routing the enemy with between 40% to 59% casualties and a minimum +25% margin.

El Cabezota (@otosan) will attack Oporto again from Galicia with Castile/Leon 1050-1154 and with Aragonese 1137-1154 allies. Deus vult!
TURN 2 battles declared.
Castile attacks OPORTO from Galicia again.
Aragon attacks ZARAGOZA from Tarragona.

@otosan Challenge set up for OPORTO. Password FGM1. I took Castilian/Leonese allies. This reflects the period well, battles could have Christians and Muslims on both sides.
It's also interesting to note that many historians consider the term Reconquista to be a misnomer.

...especially during the earlier period... even El Cid basically fought for any side who would take him or would advance his ambitions...lol

@vuk-teble -- I'll be defending ZARAGOZA -- using some Castilian/Leonese allies.

We've started too. Enjoy, everyone.

The army of ZARAGOZA has inflicted a Major Defeat (43 - 11= +32) on the invading infidels from Aragon!
TARRAGONA is now disrupted for the next turn and the Muslim side earns its first Initiative Point.
It was fun battle with early results going my way and the Andalusian cavalry and their Castilian allies performed sterling work and the Muslim spearmen also stood their ground well. The Muslim light cavalry were at their annoying best too. 😎
There was a separate fight for a rough hill on the opposite flank that may have absorbed too much of the Aragonese resources and attention.
Thanks for a cool battle, @vuk-teble
