@hedgehog putting the feeder higher is a good idea, it saves a lot of birds. The only problem is reaching it to put the food there, lol. I have a blackbird come to my yard in the morning to get worms from the pots. Luckily, my old cat can't be arsed to try for him!

I also see and hear a pair of lesser Kestrels from the terrace, they seem to be nesting on the roof of a residential block not too far away.

I get a little Redstart hanging around too, nice to see.

I haven't got a cat, there are loads in the neighbourhood attracted to my garden, I think it's the pond fox's cats and hedgehog do drink from it, you gotta agree it's great to see the wildlife more so as I have the camera @chiquichops

@hedgehog Update today. I was looking out for my Kestrels at lunchtime and suddenly a booted eagle sailed into view. I very rarely see one above the village, they usually stick to the hills but it's not unknown. I'm pretty sure it was a dark morph of a booted eagle, nice to see one here. I did see a larger, light morph last week in the mountains pretty up close, had lovely view of him.

Nice!  European badgers are so cute and cuddly compared to our honey badgers (ratels) we have down here -- they fear nothing.
