Battle is joined in ALGIERS ... with cavalry and light skirmisher clashes... honours even so far -- hoping to crack @cargol 's left cavalry wing before the spearmen clash.

@rico I am fighting on all three fronts- Poland, Constantinople, and Serbia. Not much to report from most of these yet. Some light skrimishing in Serbia with a few of Otosan's horse archers disrupted.

The battle for Constantinople is a good one. I didn't fancy the Seljuks much at first but it's all about manoeuvrability and we're putting up a good show. It's not going to be easy for either side.

@chiquichops For sure. I was proud of one move so far - shutting down your massed archers for a turn with my light javelin charge, but that was only to protect my Varangians who went full Battle of Dyrrachium and charged in heedlessly resulting in getting swarmed and flanked.
Yeah, it was a really good move but led to the skirmishers being routed in the end. Your varangians thought they were a panzer platoon but didn't have the support. We might see them rally still. Those Dailami foot are pretty tough. One move I thought worked for me was leading half your army away towards my left. I have to admit, it wasn't the plan but I saw the opportunity. It cost me my left-wing light units though, your flankers made short work of them. Pretty cool battle, a better show by the Seljuks than I thought. I was regretting choosing them before we even got going, they just don't always have anything that packs a real punch against heavy infantry.
